We are concentrating on the wine regions of Central Europe, from Hungary in the east, through Austria, Italy and Switzerland to Germany and over to some of the regions in France, Spain and Portugal. You will probably know that many of the roots of today's wine estates were planted by the Romans. But did you also know that some other roots - many centuries ago - where established by the Irish? Do you know St. Killian not only brought Christian beliefs to Europe, but was also instrumental of setting up cities like Würzburg in Germany and starting to grow wines in areas of what is now Franken. Some of the estates there can be traced back to St. Killian and are to this day producing excellent wines. The wines we offer are handmade. We offer no mass production. Each year there is a new wine, a new reason to taste. Our wines are made by craftsmen, many continuing a family business several 100 years old, from planting the wine in the vineyard to filling the bottle and selling it. You can meet the master craftsman or the owner of the estate personally; he will advise you during tasting sessions and answer your questions. Our wines are of highest quality and integrity; some of our excellent estates are recognised and certified as organic wine producing estates. Many of our estates are now run and managed by 'young wild things' who match new business methods with the experience of centuries. You can meet the wine makers, not only by travelling through our website but also by travelling in person and enjoy a fine wine with them. Many of our wines have won awards and acclaim in Europe and Overseas and are being served in the best restaurants in Europe. It is up to you to find and select the wine you enjoy most for each occasion.
