The Satzenberg vineyard in the Tauber Valley, between Bronnbach and Reicholzheim, numbers among the oldest sites in Germany – viticulture has been documented there since the 8th century
It is a steep, south-facing slope horizontally terraced with dry stone walls that retain and reflect heat. The high temperatures near the walls are usually only found in southern wine regions. However, even in hot, dry years the land bordering the vineyard ensures an adequate water supply.
