For many centuries the name Fuerst Loewenstein stands for highest achievements in producing wines, for non-compromising quality and singular enjoyment in trinking wine.
Fuerst Loewenstein has 2 estates, one in Franken and one the other in the region Rheingau. The work is marked by the values of tradition and experience of generations, but also by experience in the international top management.
The business of Fuerst Loewenstein is led since 2003 by Carl Friedrich Erbprinz zu Loewenstein. Under Manager Robert Haller the 2 estates have established themselves among the top estates in German wine production. The internationally acclaimed wine guide Gault Millau chose him as Estate Manager of the year 2004. Fuerst Loewenstein is a member of the VDP, an association of some 200 top Estates in Germany.

The estate in the region Rheingau is located in Hallgarten - once of the classical Riesling locations in Germany. It produces impressive dry Riesling and lately also a velvet type Spaetburgunder and Fruehburgunder of highest Quality. Famous sites include Hallgartener Hendelberg, Hallgartener Schoenhell and Hallgartener Jungfer.

Rheingau Riesling wines are among the most highly esteemed wines, both in Germany and abroad. Especially in the Rheingau, Riesling brings forth particularly racy wines of an elegance that is positively captivating. Thanks to their fine-fruity acidity and wealth of aromas, they are excellent with meals. Riesling wines enhance every occasion, whether it is a social get-together, philosophizing with friends or a romantic evening for two. Fuerst Loewenstein Riesling wines are from the finest sites of Hallgarten. All have a pronounced fruit character, yet each has a distinctive profile. A wide range of styles is available, from harmonious Gutsweine (house wines), to light and racy Kabinett or full-bodied Spaetlese wines. Each of these Rieslings, in its own way, offers a wealth of flavor.

The region Rheingau holds great history and tradition for the concerned lover of wine. For centuries producing wine in the area was dominated by the gentry and monasteries, nowadays sites to visit when on walking tour through the Rheingau. The Dukes of Loewenstein have been working vineyards at Hallgarten since 1875.

A beautiful region to visit, an ideal base also for city visits in Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden.
