Weingut J. Koegler
	The village of Eltville is located on the banks of the majestic river Rhein and the beginning of the Taunus Hills, and in close neighbourhood of the cities of Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Mainz. The estate is located in the old part of the town. True to the tradition of the Rheingau, Koegler is focussing on Riesling wines, producing great Spaetlese and Auslese qualities. Beside the Riesling, Koegler produces red wines of substantial quality, lasting in the taste with fine structures. This family business manages 34 hectares of vintage country in Eltville and Hochheim and includes the cultivation of 'Spätburgunder' and 'Merlot'. Hof Bechtermünz in Eltville was built some 580 years ago on the Rhine and later became known worldwide. Although Gutenberg originally appreciated the location of this respected estate, in 1467 he established one of the most pertinent publishing houses of the world here. Under his jurisdiction, the brothers Heinrich and Nicholas Bechtermünz completed one of today's most well-known artefacts of printed work : the 'Vocabularium ex Quo', one of the first printed dictionaries in the world. Here and now in the fifth generation, we acknowledge and dedicate the art of wine making with love, passion and expertise.
